The problem
Every corridor is a different vendor. Every payout is a different problem.
Paying people around the world means a patchwork: one provider for Europe, another for Latin America, wires where nothing else reaches, and fees and FX spreads hiding in every hop. Settlement takes days and support tickets follow.
The recipients feel it worst: money that arrives late, short, or not at all. And scaling only compounds it. Each new market re-runs the same procurement: find a provider, negotiate the corridor, park a float, and hope the reporting agrees with your ledger at month end.
How it works
One API call per payout. Lightspark does the routing.
Fund a balance ahead of time, or attach payment instructions to a payout so it executes the moment your money arrives. Create recipients over the API with the details you already hold, or let hosted onboarding collect them for you. Either way, each recipient exists once, with their currency, country, and banking details attached, and every payout after that is a single call against them.
Each payout gets a quote: the exchange rate locks, and every fee is visible before you commit. Lock the sending amount to control cost, or the receiving amount so the recipient gets an exact figure. Expired quotes recreate instantly at a fresh rate, so a delayed approval never executes on numbers nobody agreed to.
The Lightspark API picks the optimal rail for each corridor: SEPA in Europe, PIX in Brazil, UPI in India, ACH in the US, and settles in the recipient’s currency. A webhook confirms each payout as it lands, so status lives in your system instead of a support queue, and month end reconciles against what actually happened.

Lightspark auto-routes each payment to the optimal rail for the currency, country, and amount. Instant where the rail supports it.
Quotes lock the exchange rate for 1 to 15 minutes depending on corridor, with exact fees, rate, and receiving amount shown before execution.
Fund from held balances or with just-in-time payment instructions. Balances credit the moment funds arrive.
Identity checks, business verification, sanctions screening, risk review, and the requirements attached to each supported corridor.
Quote, execute, webhook. Every payment reports status through signed webhooks with exponential retry.
Integration
Recipients register once. Then two calls per payout.
The objects are the ones your team expects: customers, accounts, quotes, transactions, and webhooks. Register the bank account once; from then on every payout is a quote and an execute, with settlement confirmed over webhooks. The sandbox funds instantly, so the whole flow can be tested before production money moves.
