Announcing Lightspark

Statement from David Marcus, Co-Founder and CEO of Lightspark

I wanted to share that we are starting a new company called Lightspark to explore, build and extend the capabilities and utility of Bitcoin. As a first step, we’re actively assembling a team to dive deeper into the Lightning Network. We’re joined by like-minded investors, notably Andreesen Horowitz and Paradigm who are co-leading this first round, as well as Thrive Capital, Coatue, Felix Capital, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, Zeev Ventures and others. We’re excited to learn more about the Lightning Network and to work alongside the community. We’ll share more about our work as we make progress. Lightspark is headquartered in Los Angeles.
