Lightspark Completes SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance With a Focus on Security

Lightspark has obtained its Systems and Organization (SOC) 2 Type I certification attestation report. Since its founding in 2022, Lightspark has focused on a commitment to and investment in security controls that meet and exceed industry standards.

SOC reports are industry-standard certifications governed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). They are designed to provide assurances to customers and their auditors about a service organization’s processes and the strength of security and compliance controls.

Lightspark brings Bitcoin and Lightning Network services to some of the world’s most influential companies. We help our customers deliver Internet payments at scale and improve the financial system for everyone. Our customers rely on us to provide secure, enterprise-grade Lightning payment services. Our SOC 2 Type I certification demonstrates the importance of and our commitment to security in these services.

We are pleased with this milestone and plan for it to be the first of many more. We are actively pursuing our SOC 2 Type II certification, which will further demonstrate our commitment to security.
